Can you help me please.
I am trying to trace my ggg-father, Duncan McFarlane.
All I know about him is:
He saled to Australia on the barque India, leaving Greenock in 1939, arriving Adelaide, Feb 1840. He was listed as being 30 years old, and a shepherd. He married Elizabeth Norris, a fellow passenger on the India, but died ib 1855 or before.
I am sorry this is probably like trying to find a needle in a haystack, so any guidance or advice will be much appreciated.
